Colorectal Program
The colorectal program at Buffalo General Medical Center (BGMC) has assembled a multidisciplinary team of experts to review patient’s conditions and make recommendations for the best tailored treatment for each individual. The program offers innovative therapies in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and expert surgeons all in one location. The BGMC team strives to deliver outstanding care to each individual while at the same time advancing their health.
In Buffalo General’s new, state-of-the-art endoscopic suites and renovated ORs, dedicated teams consisting of board certified gastroenterologists, medical and radiation oncologists, and colorectal surgeons make it possible to diagnose and treat patients to optimize quality outcomes and restore health.
Unique Approach
Hundreds of colorectal surgeries and procedures are performed each year at Buffalo General Medical Center. Our program is defined by quality and patient satisfaction and hinges on the expertise of its board certified gastroenterologists and surgeons. The concept of having a program versus a doctor, provides the patient with a team of professionals who evaluate each patient and determine the best care pathway for the individual to yield optimal outcomes. We leverage cutting-edge robotic technology, the da Vinci robot, to provide far greater precision, flexibility and control than a human hand.
