Seminars are open to the public and held at Buffalo General bi-weekly at noon. Seminar is located in the D building (gold elevators), 2nd Floor, Cummings Conference Room. Please refer to schedule on the right for seminar dates. All patients MUST bring a support person to seminar.

Monthly evening seminars will be held at The Millennium Hotel , located at 2040 Walden Avenue, Cheektowaga, next to the Galleria Mall. The seminar begins promptly at 5:45 p.m. and guests should arrive by 5:30 p.m. Parking is provided free of charge. Please note, your support person must also attend this seminar.

Meet the Physicians

Alan Posner, M.D. Alan Posner, MD, is fellowship- trained in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Posner was one of the first surgeons in Western New York to offer bariatric surgery using the laparoscopic technique.
Aaron Hoffman, M.D. Aaron Hoffman, MD, joined the bariatric program in 2007 and was named medical director in November of 2011. He is fellowship-trained in the laparoscopic surgery technique and bariatric surgery.
John Butsch, M.D. John Butsch, MD, joined the bariatric program in 2009. He performed laparoscopic bariatric surgery for several years in Chicago, IL prior to joining the program at Buffalo General Medical Center.
