Diagnostic tests may vary, depending on the patient’s age, symptoms and medical history, but may include:
- Neurological examination
- Ultrasound
- MRI
- CT scan
- Spinal tap
- Intracranial pressure monitoring.
In some cases, brain biopsy may be performed to rule out a primary dementia (Alzheimer’s Disease).
