PGY2 Internal Medicine Resident/BGMC

Dominick earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the City University of New York and is a 2019 graduate from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. After completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Buffalo General Medical Center (BGMC), he continues his training at BGMC as a PGY-2 in Internal Medicine. His professional interests include cardiology, hepatology, and transitions of care. Dominick hopes to obtain a position as a clinical pharmacist in an academic medical center that will enable him to have a clinical practice site and precept students. His hobbies include gardening and cooking.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident/BGMC

Lexus completed an accelerated, five-year pharmacy program through a partnership with Gannon University and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2020. She is currently a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Buffalo General Medical Center. Her professional interests include critical care, oncology, pain management, and pediatrics. Professionally, Lexus aspires to work as a residency director or pursue healthcare policy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and trying new restaurants in the Buffalo area

Mary Hejna is a 2020 graduate from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is currently a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Her professional interests include geriatrics, internal medicine, research, and precepting students. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, and spending time with her family and friends.

Hannah Larson is a 2020 graduate from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. She is currently the PGY1 at John R Oishei Children’s Hospital. Her professional interests vary in pediatrics, but include neonatal intensive care unit and precepting students. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and Spring Spaniel, exploring the outdoors, hiking, camping, and running.

Maggie earned her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Ryerson University in Toronto, ON. She is a 2020 graduate from Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA. Maggie is currently a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at Buffalo General Medical Center. Her professional interests includes infectious diseases, transitions of care, ambulatory care, precepting, and academia. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.

Cassidy Luke is a 2020 graduate from the St. John Fisher Wegmans School of Pharmacy located in Rochester, NY. She is originally from Rochester, NY and is currently a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at Buffalo General Medical Center. Her professional interests include pediatrics, oncology, and emergency medicine. She is also interested in academia and working with underserved populations through mission trips. Cassidy hopes to pursue a PGY-2 in pediatrics or oncology and work in a large academic medical center. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

Patrick McGrath is a 2019 graduate from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He completed his PGY1 residency at Buffalo General Medical Center where he is currently a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident. His professional interests include critical care, emergency medicine, academia and precepting students. In his spare time he enjoys reading, playing guitar, surfing, running and spending time with his family and friends.

Jennifer Rafferty is a 2016 graduate from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She practiced community pharmacy in a retail setting in Seattle, WA for 4 years. She is currently a PGY1 community based pharmacy resident at Family Pharmaceutical Services at Buffalo General Medical Center. Her professional interests include patient advocacy, transitions of care, and precepting students. Her career goals include becoming board-certified in ambulatory care and exploring ways to improve patient-centered care in the community setting. In her spare time, she enjoys creating various arts and craft projects, visiting her niece in the Seattle area, and hanging out with her two curious cats, Henry Stinkler and Eleanor Purrsevelt.
