Kaleida Health Names Vice President, Physician Quality
In his role, Dr. Snyder will lead physician quality and patient safety for the entire organization as well as ensure continuous quality of care, patient satisfaction and compliance with various accrediting organizations and regulatory bodies.
In addition, he will lead the development and implementation of quality/safety programs, policies, practices and protocols; oversee and facilitate clinical improvement projects; maintain the Kaleida Health Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan; and formulate organization-wide strategies to address emerging safety concerns in conjunction with risk management, medical staff leadership and other key stakeholders at all sites and across the continuum of care.
“Dr. Snyder brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the quality team,” said David Hughes, MD, MPH, executive vice president and chief medical officer, Kaleida Health. “His leadership will assist us in continuing to provide the highest quality care and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.”
Dr. Snyder previously served as physician advisor, process improvement at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, and is an assistant professor of neurosurgery, radiology, and neurology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from The Catholic University of America, and received his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Snyder is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons; Congress of Neurological Surgeons; American Association for the Advancement of Science; The Biophysical Society; Tau Beta Pi; and Phi Eta Sigma.
