Optimum Physician Alliance Names 2014 Chair, Vice Chair of Physician Leadership Board
OPA is a physician-led, evidence-based network of physicians committed to providing high-quality, efficient health care in partnership with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and Kaleida Health. The PLB provides clinical oversight to OPA.
Dr. Bodkin was re-elected as chair of the PLB for a second one-year term. He is a family physician with Highgate Medical Group, PC and is a member of the University at Buffalo Dean’s Advisory Council, the Buffalo Physician Editorial Board, and an emeritus member of the Board of Directors of the University at Buffalo Medical Association.
Dr. Hurvitz was appointed as vice chair after serving on the PLB for over a year. Dr. Hurvitz is a pediatric physician with Tonawanda Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hurvitz serves on the HealthNow Quality Improvement Committee and is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
Dr. Stegemann, chief of orthopaedics at Erie County Medical Center, will join the PLB as a member. Dr. Stegemann is an associate professor of clinical orthopaedics for the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and serves on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
