Donor Spotlight: Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital Women's Board Donates $200,000 to Mother Baby Unit
Generous and compassionate. The women who serve on the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital (MFSH) Women’s Board are exactly that – generous and compassionate.
Established in 1962, the Women’s Board has donated over $6,000,000 throughout the years. New equipment, renovations and technology upgrades have all been made possible thanks to the contributions of the Women’s Board.
This October, $200,000 was donated to the Mother Baby Unit to purchase new beds. The money was raised through events at MFSH, fashion shows, flower sales and operating the MFSH gift shop.
Joyce Lenda, president of the Women’s Board, states, “Quality healthcare remains a top priority for us. Our women devote their time because we are dedicated to supplying our hospital and community with high-quality care.”
In previous years, the Women’s Board has raised and donated $500,000 to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in 2015. We are thankful for the continued support from the Women’s Board and we look forward to what they will achieve in the coming years.
