Speedway Hosts 30th Annual Miracle Tournament in Dayton, Ohio
Speedway held its annual Miracle Tournament in Dayton, Ohio from Sunday, August 22 to Tuesday, August 24. Oishei Children’s Hospital (OCH) was one of 43 children's hospitals invited to attend the tournament. Speedway is a partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, a network of companies that raise money for local children’s hospitals. A portion of the proceeds raised at the Speedway Miracle Tournament will benefit Oishei Children’s Hospital.
Ava Hackett, OCH patient, attended the tournament with her mother, Ann, her father, Anthony, and her sister, Arianna.
Ava was born at 24 weeks gestation, weighing 18oz. She went six weeks in utero without amniotic fluid. Because of this, Ava needed a trach, ventilator, oxygen, immunoglobin infusions and spent 455 days in the hospital. Today, Ava enjoys being part of Stone’s Buddies at OCH and helped raise over $2,300 while on the course at the tournament!
