Long-time Supporter of Oishei Children’s Hospital, Tops Friendly Markets, Raises $475,000 from Annual Golf Events!
Tops Friendly Markets is passionate about investing in the health and safety of our children. Their commitment to fundraising and philanthropy has made a lasting impact on the kids and families of Oishei Children’s Hospital (OCH). This year, Tops has raised $475,000 from their annual golf outings, which took place on Sunday, July 18 and Monday, July 19.
"We at Tops make it a priority to support our community. The best way we feel to do that is through raising much-needed support for Oishei Children's Hospital, which we have done for nearly 30 years," said John Persons, president for Tops Friendly Markets and board chair for The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation. "And as board chair for the foundation, I'm able to work closely with the team to make an even bigger impact."
The annual Tops Putting Contest was held this past Sunday, where local celebrities and OCH patients teamed up and participated in a putting contest. The local celebrities consisted of Oishei Children’s Hospital and Kaleida Health leadership, local radio and television anchors, and even a special appearance from Rob Ray, former Buffalo Sabres player and Hall of Famer.
Enzo Dentico, president and chairman of Affinity Group Northeast, and his family were recognized at the event for their commitment to fundraising on behalf of Tops Friendly Markets for Oishei Children’s Hospital. Enzo knows firsthand the importance of giving back to our patients. As a token of appreciation, The Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation will be naming a room at OCH in honor of the Dentico Family.
The golf events continued at the Tops Friendly Market Golf Tournament on Monday, July 19. Individuals enjoyed a day of golf and sunshine while supporting OCH.
The Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation is grateful and proud to work with Tops Friendly Markets. We are thankful for their devotion to bettering the lives of our mightiest miracles.
