Georgell Named Chief Labor Relations Officer for Kaleida Health

Holly Ann Georgell, Esq., has been named chief labor relations officer for Kaleida Health.

In this role, Georgell will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation and management of the organization’s centralized employee and labor relations.

Georgell comes to Kaleida Health from General Motors, LLC, in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as Executive Counsel, Labor, Employment & Benefits of the global automobile and truck manufacturer. There, she provided legal advice in all aspects of labor relations, collective bargaining and employment law as well as sole labor relations counsel for all US negotiations.

Throughout her career, Georgell has achieved extensive experience in labor and employment law, human resources, and corporate law issues in both union and non-union environments.

She was the chief negotiator for private and public sector collective bargaining agreements and has led union representation and positive employee relations efforts. 

Georgell received her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago and her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She also completed her Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management at MIT Sloan School of Business. She is a certified flight instructor and a captain in the United States Air Force (Civil Air Patrol) Auxiliary.

Kaleida Health’s current Labor Relations team remains in place, will report to Holly, and continue to provide labor and employee relations support for all of our employee and labor relations.

Kaleida Health has seven different collective bargaining agreements covering 7,479 employees.
