Know the Symptoms

Balance. Is there a sudden loss of balance or dizziness?

Eyes. Is there blurred vision, or a sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes?

Face.  Ask the person to smile.  Does one side of their face droop?

Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms.  Is one arm lower than the other?

Speech.  Is the person’s speech slurred, unintelligible, or not making sense?

Time. If any of these symptoms are present, call 9-1-1 immediately.
