  • Bereavement Support Group

Bereavement Support Group

On the first Tuesday of each month, a Bereavement Support Group, sponsored by Kaleida Health, is held. This group is open to anyone whose loved one was formerly a patient at a Kaleida Health hospital. The meeting takes place at the St. Jude Center, 760 Ellicott Street, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the hall next to the chapel.

Memorial Service

On the last Wednesday of April and October there is a formal Memorial Service conducted at Buffalo General Medical Center to remember those who have died at a Kaleida Health hospital. The interfaith service is conducted by the Pastoral Care office in conjunction with healthcare staff. A reception is held afterwards, which provides an outlet for social interaction as well as an open forum to discuss any issues attendees may be experiencing.
