Western New York Lead Resource Center
The WNY Lead Resource Center is committed to the prevention, early detection and effective management of lead poisoning in children and pregnant women.
The Lead Resource Center prevents and treats lead poisoning through its:
Comprehensive program:
- Medical management
- Consultation
- Educational services
- Collaboration with hospitals, local non-profit organizations and government agencies
Broad reach:
- The Center serves eight counties in Western New York.
Well-established history and reputation:
- The Center was established in 1993 through a grant from the New York State Department of Health. The medical director, Melinda S. Cameron, MD, is an expert who leads the region in the management and treatment of lead poisoning in children.
