Blood Draw Lab - DeGraff
DeGraff Memorial Hospital Laboratory Services provides inpatient, STAT outpatient, long-term care, clinics and Emergency Department laboratory testing. The department is staffed 24 hours a day with clinical laboratory scientists, licensed by the New York State Department of Education, who are able to perform all lab functions as needed.
A board certified physician in pathology is available to examine surgical specimens, which may be grossed (described and sampled) and processed on site. Tissue is examined for the presence of abnormalities and is then sent to Buffalo General Medical Center for further testing. The on-site pathologist performs frozen sections as necessary.
DeGraff Memorial Hospital Laboratory Patient Service Center is staffed by qualified phlebotomists who perform outpatient blood draws and collections of urine and other body fluids. Patients must present with a valid doctor’s prescription for blood draws and collections.
