  Deaconess Family Planning Center: Overview

Kaleida Health's Deaconess Family Planning Center provides quality birth control services to both men and women. Also provided are medical and counseling services in the areas of sexually transmitted infections and human sexuality.

Medical Services

  • Complete physical examination
  • Breast and pelvic examinations
  • Blood pressure screening
  • Colposcopy services
  • Pap smears & breast exams
  • Treatment of common vaginal infections
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Confidential interviews with counselors
  • Natural family planning counseling
  • Sexual Transmitted Disease treatment for patients and their partners
  • HIV counseling, testing and referral
  • On-site social worker
  • HPV and HEP vaccines available
  • Contraceptive methods

Administrative Office Hours:
Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Clinic Office Hours:
Deaconess Center Site

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Thursday – 8:30 am to 7:30 pm

Mattina Community Health Center - 300 Niagara Street
Tuesday – 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Thursday – 12:30 to 4:30 pm

Fees/Insurance

All major insurances are accepted. Applications for the Family Planning Benefit Program are taken on site for all uninsured. Sliding Fee Scale (fees based on income) is available to all patients without insurance and denied coverage under the Family Planning Benefit Program.

Co-payment or visit deposit is expected at time of visit when applicable.

All teenagers receive FREE care if Family Planning Benefit Program coverage is denied.

  • HPV and Hepatitis A & B vaccines
  • Referral for prenatal care
  • Pregnancy Options Counseling
  • Referral for infertility services
  • Language assistance available
  • Emergency contraceptives - available onsite, FREE regardless of income/insurance, call for appointment

Prescription Refills

Birth control supplies and most medications can be obtained on site. However, prescriptions will be given to all patients with prescription insurance cards.

Laboratory Testing

  • Sexually Transmitted Infection testing
  • Pap Smears
  • HIV testing (oral rapid - results in 20 minutes)
  • Pregnancy testing
