PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Practice - Purpose and Outcomes

Purpose

Successful completion of this program will produce an individual with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary for a challenging and rewarding career as a critical care pharmacy practitioner.

Objectives

• Manage and improve the medication-use process in critically ill patients
• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy management with interdisciplinary teams in a variety of critical care environments
• Exercise leadership and practice management skills
• Demonstrate project management skills
• Provide medication and practice-related education/training

Utilize medical informatics and demonstrate sophisticated drug literature evaluation skills
