Buffalo General Hospital

BGHFounded more than 150 years ago, Buffalo General Hospital is a 501 bed acute care medical center located on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in downtown Buffalo, NY.

A major affiliate of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Buffalo General offers a number of diverse medical treatments through multiple clinical inpatient departments and outpatient programs. The Society of Chest Pain Centers has designated Buffalo General Hospital an accredited Chest Pain Center, making it the first and only hospital in Western New York to receive full Cycle II accreditation with PCI from the Accreditation Review Committee. Buffalo General Hospital is the 363rd accredited Chest Pain Center in the nation. Also housed at Buffalo General is The Jacobs Neurological Institute.

DeGraff Memorial Hospital

DeGraffFounded in 1914 to serve Buffalo’s north towns, DeGraff Memorial Hospital is a 70-bed full-service community hospital providing a broad range of inpatient and outpatient health services.

The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services, including a specialized medical rehabilitation unit for patients requiring extensive rehabilitation following surgical procedures, a sub-acute unit for the care of patients who require less intensive rehabilitation services, and a skilled nursing facility consisting of 80 beds.

Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital

Millard Fillmore Gates Circle

Founded in 1872, Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital is a 189-bed acute care medical center facility located in downtown Buffalo, NY.

The hospital offers a number of diverse medical and surgical specialties through multiple clinical inpatient departments and outpatient programs. Specialized programs include world class neurological and stroke care services (the only regional and nationally Joint Commission recognized stroke program), in-patient geriatric hospitalization services, cardiac and orthopedic surgery, lithotripsy and urology, gastroenterology, a long-term and sub acute short-term skilled nursing facility, cardiac rehabilitation and rehabilitation medicine. Millard Fillmore Gates is also home to the Hand Center of WNY, the Diabetes-Endocrinology Center and the only hyperbaric chamber in the region.

Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital

Millard Fillmore Suburban

Established in 1974, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital is a 261-bed community hospital located in Amherst, one of Western New York’s fastest growing suburbs.

The hospital offers services in emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery and many surgery specialties such as urology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, internal medicine and many medical subspecialties. In recognition of the growing needs of the community, Millard Fillmore Suburban recently completed a two-year, $64 million expansion, which added more than 100,000 square feet to the hospital.

Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo

WCHOB

Founded in 1892, Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo is a 200-bed acute care hospital located in Buffalo, NY.

As the regional center for comprehensive, specialized pediatric and women's health services for Western New York and beyond, this free-standing women and children’s hospital is the only one of its kind in the region and hosts a number of specialized and sub-specialty care programs that is unmatched by any other hospital in the area. Of the 200 beds at WCHOB, 82 are critical care located in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU.

The hospital includes a Level 1 Regional Pediatric Trauma Center, Level III Regional NICU and the Regional Perinatal Center.

Long Term Care Facilities

Kaleida Health offers long term care and sub acute rehabilitation at Deaconess Center, DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility, Millard Fillmore Gates Skilled Nursing Facility and Waterfront Health Care Center. Using a full spectrum of services the professional team including physicians, nurses, physical, occupational, and speech/language therapists, dieticians, pastoral care and social workers ensures the highest level of independence for every resident. Commitment and quality is the cornerstone for a caring living environment.

Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, Inc (VNA)

The first in 1885…the largest today. In 1885, the visiting nursing movement was born right here in Buffalo. Today, the Visiting Nursing Association of WNY is the largest home health agency in the region.

The VNA service over 24,000 patients annually with over 500,000 home visits from Williamsville to Wellsville, from Boston to Batavia and from Jamestown to Youngstown.
