BUFFALO, N.Y. (Monday, June 28, 2004) - Kaleida Health's Kimberly Zammit,
Pharm.D., has received the New York State Council of Health System Pharmacists
(NYSCHP) 2004 Pharmacist Achievement Award.
This prestigious award identifies pharmacists who have been recognized by their
peers for achieving significant accomplishments toward the progression of
pharmaceutical services through their careers.
Dr. Zammit (who is a Tonawanda resident) is a clinical pharmacist who has
consistently made patient care her first priority. She has been instrumental in
developing many new patient care policies while at Kaleida Health, many of which
have contributed to improving the health and well-being of her patients.
In addition to this, the Western New York Society of Health System Pharmacists
(WNYSHP) recently honored Kaleida Health Pharmacists Anne Ptak, R.Ph. and
Stephanie Seyse, Pharm.D.
Ms. Ptak (Clarence) received the Robert M. Cooper Memorial Award, which
recognizes a pharmacist that inspires outstanding pharmacy practice through the
example of his or her own practice. She has been a staff pharmacist at Buffalo
General Hospital for 20 years.
Dr. Seyse (Amherst) received the Pharmacy Achievement award in recognition of
her dedicated service to WNYSHP. Dr. Seyse was a clinical oncology pharmacist at
Millard Fillmore Suburban for four years before becoming a pharmacy clinical
coordinator at Buffalo General Hospital in 1999.
