Kaleida Health Names Chief Financial Officer 2002
At Kaleida, Glenning's areas of responsibility have included accounting, reimbursement coordination, and budgeting and cost forecasting programs, as well as patient financial services. He joined Kaleida in 2000. Glenning previously was vice president for finance and CFO at Albany Memorial Hospital, Samaritan Hospital and the Northeast Primary Care Network. He was appointed to this position upon the merger of Albany Memorial and Northeast Health. In this role, he integrated the hospitals' finance functions and systems for significant cost savings and cash flow enhancements. He was responsible for general accounting, reimbursement and managed care contract management, patient billing and registration, medical records, budget, cost accounting and purchasing. He also has served as vice president for finance and director of finance/controller at Albany Memorial Health Systems and manager and supervisor at Price Waterhouse Coopers, where his clientele included health care, college and university, government and brokerage accounts. Glenning earned his bachelor's degree in accounting at Siena College, Loudonville, and his master's of business administration degree at Clarkson University, Potsdam. A certified public accountant, he is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He has served as a board member of the Albany chapter of the Healthcare Financial Manager's Association and was awarded the Follmer Bronze award by the Healthcare Financial Managers Association. He has been a member of the Business Administration Advisory Committee at Hudson Valley Community College and treasurer of the National Kidney Foundation of Northeastern New York. -30- |
