Does Diabetes Affect the Brain?

Why, and how, does diabetes affect the brain?

Researchers at the Jacobs Neurological Institute at Buffalo General Hospital hope to answer this complicated question. Their goal in conducting a comprehensive, ongoing study is to try and identify conditions associated with declines in brain function, in hopes that this information will provide clues to understanding the cause of abnormal brain function in persons with diabetes.
