The Women's Board of Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital is planning An Evening with Michael Civisca on Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Buffalo Marriott Hotel, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst. The event will benefit the renovation of the Millard Fillmore Suburban Emergency Room.

Michael Civisca, who has been called a "modern day crooner with a hip and stylish treatment that breathes life into the great jazz standards," is donating his services for this special event. Civisca's growing appeal has brought him this year to national theaters, including The Gerald Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Col., and the Chautauqua Amphitheater in New York. His style also is appreciated in smaller, intimate venues including Blues Alley in Washington, D.C., and the Rainbow Room in New York City.

The evening begins with a cash bar at 6 p.m., dinner beginning at 7 p.m. and Civisca entertaining the crowd following dinner. Tickets are $40. For ticket reservations, call 631-3386.
