‘00

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY, Sept. 13 -- "What's So Great About Getting Older?" is the topic of the next Breakfast Bunch program Sept. 26 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., sponsored by DeGraff Memorial Hospital's McLaughlin Center of Kaleida Health.

The event will be held in the DeGraff Community Center, 139 Division St., North Tonawanda.

Rose Marie Hall, M.S., Manager of The McLaughlin Center, will cover the pros and cons of getting older and offer tips on surviving the aging process healthier and, hopefully, happier. Attendees also will have the opportunity to contribute their advice and secrets for "Healthy Aging."

Ms. Hall has led the center for more than a decade, providing premier health education and wellness programs for Western New Yorkers aged 55 and older. She serves on a variety of community boards, including the Network in Aging of WNY, RSVP of Niagara and the Coalition of Agencies in Service for the Elderly. Her dedication and efforts have earned her several community awards, and she was named a Kaleida Woman in Medicine in 1999.

The continental breakfast and program is $3.50 for members and $4 for non-members. Pre-paid, non-refundable reservations are due by Sept. 25 by calling 690-2271. Subscribers with BC/BS and Community Blue may choose to attend four Breakfast Brunch programs annually with full coverage of the fee. Please mention your insurance coverage when making reservations.
