First Kaleida Classic Raises $102,000 2001

The Kaleida Foundation's first Kaleida Classic golf tournament, hosted June 18 by the Country Club of Buffalo, raised $102,000 to benefit the Emergency Room expansion at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. "Edward Hunt, Kaleida Classic Chair and former Kaleida administrator, and Richard Hopkins, Administrator, Finance, were instrumental in ensuring a most pleasurable golf experience for all of our Kaleida supporters and golf enthusiasts," Mary Ries, Tournament Coordinator and Fund Development Manager, Kaleida Health Foundation, said. The afternoon of golf, with Kaleida Classics sponsorship by KeyBank and marquis sponsorship by The McGuire Group, featured an informative golf clinic given by Tim Eliason, the Country Club's Head PGA Professional, followed by a reception and dinner. Also acknowledged for their support were Allegiance, dinner sponsor; Jim Culligan, Hole in One Contest sponsor; ElderWood Affiliates, Inc., and Wendt's Dairy Division, lunch sponsors; and Neil Friedman, M.D., Vice President, Medical Affairs, Kaleida Health. # # # |
