"Joint Pain: Understanding Your Options" Topic of Talk at Sterling Medical Center

Buffalo, NY, May 17, 2001 - Is joint pain interfering with your daily life or that of a family or friend?

"Joint Pain: Understanding Your Treatment Options" is the topic of discussion for the monthly Healthy Happening talk planned for Monday, June 4 at 7 p.m. at Kaleida Health's Sterling Medical Center in Orchard Park.

Peter R. Jay, M.D., of Amherst Orthopaedics, will discuss the causes of joint pain and available treatment options, including joint replacement. Dr. Jay also is an attending surgeon with Kaleida Health.

All are invited to attend the free health information talk, which will be followed by a question and answer session.

Sterling Medical Center is located at 200 Sterling Drive, off Milestrip Road, just off the Milestrip Road East exit of Rt. 219. Refreshments will be served.

Dr. Jay earned his medical degree from Yale Medical School, did an orthopaedic surgery residency and had fellowship training in adult joint reconstruction and orthopaedic oncology at Johns Hopkins University.
