Kaleida Health to Offer 2001 Buffalo, NY, March 21, 2001 - Kaleida Health will offer free wellness information, cardiac risk factor assessments and blood pressure testing, as well as physician referral service, Saturday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Walden Galleria, Cheektowaga, as part of its ongoing "Community Wellness 2001" series of health fairs throughout Western New York. Informational tables at the mall will include: Seasons of Womanhood, featuring information on childbirth and parenting education; Pediatric Dentistry, with tips on dental and oral health for infants and children, presented by The Children's Hospital of Buffalo; Cardiac Rehabilitation, where risk factor assessments, blood pressure and carbon monoxide testing will be offered, and Behavioral Health, including information on addiction treatment programs and a 24-hour-a-day home-based crisis intervention program for children and adolescents. Also: Adult Day Care Services; Kaleida Home Care and the Visiting Nursing Association LifeLine emergency response system; Family Planning, presented by staff from the Deaconess Center; a demonstration of laparoscopic surgery offered by staff from the Buffalo General Medical Center operating rooms, and information on HIV and AIDS prevention and treatment from Project Reach. Kaleida's physical therapy and medical rehabilitation services also will be featured. Mall shoppers and walkers are invited to participate and learn from Kaleida Health experts as part of their visit to Walden Galleria. Participants are eligible to win a $50 mall gift certificate.
The Kaleida Health Community Wellness 2001 series continues Saturday, May 19
from noon to 4 p.m. at the Boulevard Mall, Amherst.
