We Need You To Participate In Our
Congestive Heart Failure Studies

Susan P. Graham, M.D. - Principal Investigator

The Cardiology Research Dept. at Buffalo General Medical Center is looking for participants for three clinical studies. A diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure is needed in order to qualify.

Under the direction of Susan Graham, M.D., physical exams, EKG, and blood work are included at no expense to the patient, along with a heart failure device if necessary. Parking is free and monetary compensation is available for those who qualify.

Studies are as follows:

The Companion Study has three different treatment groups. The first group is optimal pharmacologic therapy (OPT), or optimal medication therapy. The second group is OPT plus an implanted heart failure device and the third group is OPT plus an implanted heart failure device with defibrillation in case the heart has an irregular rhythm or beats too fast.

A study of Warfarin Therapy in Congestive Heart Failure.

A study of extended release Toprol as a preventative to heart disease.
