2017 KISS Cares for Kids Radiothon Signs Off With More Than $187,000

Updated: 5/16/2017

The 14th annual KISS Cares for Kids Radiothon, which aired live on WKSE-FM Radio, KISS 98.5 on May 12, successfully signed off by raising $187,869.95 in pledges to benefit the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital.

“The KISS Cares for Kids Radiothon has had an immeasurably positive impact on the lives of countless children and their families throughout Western New York,” said Allegra C. Jaros, MBA, president, Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. “We are forever grateful to KISS 98.5 and everyone who donates their time and money to make this event so successful each year.”

KISS 98.5 morning show hosts Janet and Nick invited listeners to pledge donations by calling phone lines staffed by volunteers from Tops Markets, Wal-Mart, New Era and Tony Walker.

Over the past 13 years, the KISS Cares for Kids Radiothon has raised more than $3 million in pledges and has won national awards for its broadcast.

The KISS Cares for Kids Radiothon is coordinated with the Children’s Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for local children’s hospitals across North America. One hundred percent of the proceeds generated during this Radiothon will benefit Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
