Daisy Troop Donates Books, Stuffed Animals to Women & Children’s Hospital
Daisy Troop 39500 donated over 700 books to the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Family Resource Center on August 19, as well as some stuffed animals for our patient Welcome Bag program. The girls used left over funds from cookie sales to purchase the items.
In honor of their efforts to give back to the community and share the joy of reading with others, each girl will earn a “Book Drive" patch to add to their uniforms.
The Girl Scout Daisy program is for girls in grades K-1 and is a great way for girls who are just starting school to make friends and gain confidence. Daisies usually meet a couple times per month – in groups of 5 to 10 girls – with two or more trained adult leaders in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Daisies go on trips, learn about nature and science, and explore the arts and their communities.
Nice work, Daisy Troop 39500! Thank you for your donation!
