Hoopla! Frozen Yogurt to Donate 100% of Tonight’s Grand Opening Proceeds to WCHOB
Family friends in Upstate New York with a mutual love for froyo, entrepreneurial spirit and strong relationship with their community have built a frozen dessert-dining concept which has expanded to over 11 stores in less than one year. On Friday, August 29, Hoopla! Frozen Yogurt will open in the TOPS Plaza next to Moe’s at Crossroads Center in Orchard Park. All are invited to attend a Grand Opening event from 5-10 p.m. Friday evening, with 100% of sales benefiting Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
In the last 12 months, Hoopla! has opened its frozen dessert experience in 11 cities and towns across Upstate New York, each time to great excitement and fanfare from the community. So, what’s all the hoopla about? “24 flavors and so much more,” “The best bottoms in town,” and “Hoopla! Helps” are all slogans representing the brand that prides itself on greater variety, quality, healthy options and dedication to community than any other chain in the market. Quality is in the real fruit purees and freshest ingredients mixed with a truly premium dairy product. Variety is in 24 flavors that rotate each month, freshly baked brownie, cookie and cake ‘bottoms’ and well over 70 toppings. A healthy alternative, Hoopla frozen yogurt is a fraction of the fat and calories of ice cream, and most flavors are gluten-free and kosher with numerous non-dairy choices including sorbets and gelatos. As a community partner, in the past year Hoopla! stores have raised thousands of dollars for schools, charities and other causes across the state. Hoopla’s stores are self-serve, weigh and pay style desert experiences.
Existing and upcoming Hoopla! stores in Rochester, Buffalo and other parts of Western New York are owned and operated by two Upstate New York brothers, Matt and Pete Walsh, who both went to college in Western New York. “From the minute you walk in you’ll know that Hoopla! is different,” said Matt Walsh. “We value the guest experience. In addition to the amazing taste and variety, people just love our store, how it looks and feels. The experience extends beyond the store, as we’re also very active on social media and in the community. We’re thrilled to bring Hoopla to Orchard Park and other parts of Buffalo, and look forward to our big Grand Opening fundraiser in support of the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation on August 29th,” said Matt.
Of all causes to benefit by the arrival of Hoopla, the team chose Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo due to its focus on patient and family centered care, a cause the owners already support in Central New York. “We are excited to extend that support to Women & Children’s Hospital, a facility that we have learned about from friends in Buffalo that has delivered support to thousands of families,” said Matt.
