Stephen Turkovich, MD and Teresa Quattrin, MD stood with Senator Tim Kennedy, Western New York mothers and business owners outside of the hospital on August 18 to push for legislation that would increase support for mothers who breastfeed by requiring major airports to set aside a lactation room inside terminals.

Born at 33 weeks and weighing just 4 lbs. 8 oz., Nora Browning’s life began in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Now, a healthy 23-year-old Nora uses her experience to help patients and their families as a staff nurse in the NICU.

The Cystic Fibrosis Center at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo hosted a celebration on July 22 for Variety 10 nurses, respiratory therapists and other members of the care team to thank them for the exceptional care they provided to adults with Cystic Fibrosis now that they will no longer be admitted at WCHOB.
