Physicians Appointed to Lead OB/GYN Centers
Three physicians have been appointed to lead sites of the newly expanded network of neighborhood OB/GYN Centers operated by Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
This network of OB/GYN Centers offers direct access for patients to Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, which offers women the best option for delivering their baby as the only hospital in Western New York with a team of pediatric surgeons and a full panel of pediatric medical subspecialists on site, including the region’s largest and most advanced neonatal intensive care unit.
Jennie L. Dembski, MD, has been appointed as the lead OB/GYN physician dedicated to McKinley OB/GYN. Dr. Dembski arrives from Fort Drum MEDDAC in Fort Drum, NY, where she was department chief for OB/GYN services.
Andrea Walsh, MD, has been appointed as the lead OB/GYN physician dedicated to Lockport OB/GYN. Dr. Walsh arrives from Sparrow Health System OB/GYN, affiliated with the Michigan State University and the Mayo Clinic, and was clinical instructor, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Michael Beckwith, MD, has been appointed as the lead OB/GYN physician dedicated to Lancaster OB/GYN. Dr. Beckwith completed his residency training at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine.
As part of the network of OB/GYN Centers by Women & Children’s Hospital, these are the only OB/GYN centers in Western New York to
provide a comprehensive range of health professionals and services on site that includes fetal monitoring and ultrasound examination.
These centers also have immediate access to childbirth education, lactation services, registered dieticians, and genetic counseling and testing provided by Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
In addition the lead physician, each center has a dedicated nurse practitioner and staff. This network of neighborhood OB/GYN Centers includes the following locations:
