New Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations Announced
In her role at Kaleida Health, Nichols will lead all revenue cycle improvement initiatives as well as adapt Kaleida Health’s revenue cycle strategies and processes to the changes driven by healthcare reform. Additionally, she will oversee Patient Financial Services, Patient Access/Facilitated Enrollment, Health Information Management and the Clinical Documentation Integrity Team.
“With the ever-changing landscape of revenue and reimbursement in health care, it is imperative that we bring together all of the revenue cycle functions under one umbrella with one progressive and forward-thinking leader. Jen’s experiences have positioned her very well to take our teams and processes to the next level. I am extremely excited that she has joined Kaleida Health and am looking forward to the years ahead of revenue cycle excellence,” said Jonathan Swiatkowski, vice president of finance and business operations.
Most recently, Nichols served as the system director of patient access at Spectrum Health, a 2,000 bed, $4 billion, nine-hospital system with more than 600 physician members and an integrated health insurance product located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a result of the practices instituted at Spectrum Health during Nichols’ tenure, Spectrum was recognized as one of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s top 12 performing revenue cycles for three out of the four years the award has been offered.
