Dr. Gil Farkash Appointed Kaleida Health Chief of Service for OB/GYN
“I am extremely honored and excited to have been appointed Kaleida Health Chief of Service for OB/GYN. I would like to wish Dr. Kevin Fitzpatrick well as he embarks on his new journey at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY,” said Dr. Farkash. “Providing the highest level quality of care is of utmost importance to any healthcare system, and I believe that we can always strive to improve upon what we already deliver for our patients throughout our community.”
In his new role, Dr. Farkash will continue to advance performance expectations for clinical OB/GYN services, participate in structured review of new technologies, use evidence based medicine to further develop best practices and identify new opportunities for adherence to national patient safety goals.
Dr. Farkash is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. For the past three years Dr. Farkash has served as site director for Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. He is the vice chair of District 2, Section 6 of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as an auxiliary board member for the State Board of Professional Conduct.
Dr. Farkash received both his Bachelor of Science (cum laude) in biochemistry and his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
