Physician Steering Committee and User Groups ‘Sign Off’ on Interior Design of New Hospital

Members of the Physician Strategic Planning Committee that leads planning for the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and 27 user groups comprised of clinical staff, administrative leads, support staff, families of patients and others have signed off on the interior design and floor plans for the new hospital.

This agreement marks the completion of the design and development phase of planning. Throughout 2013, the physician committee and user groups will focus on developing new process flows for patient care and all other hospital operations for the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and ambulatory care center.

The Physician Strategic Planning Committee is comprised of more than four dozen physicians representing a broad section of the community, including university and private practice physicians. The committee has led planning for the new hospital and ambulatory care center since proposing each be constructed on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
