The New England Book Festival is an annual festival in which authors can submit their books to be evaluated by a panel of experts. Books can be submitted into one of 17 different categories including non-fiction, fiction, children’s books, poetry and science-fiction to name a few.
‘House of Miracles’ received honorable mention in the non-fiction category in the New England Book Festival held in Boston, Massachusetts at the Omni Parker House. Following Jake’s surgery and recovery at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, Cliff decided to write a behind-the-scenes look at the true life stories of doctors, nurses, hospital staff, patients and their families by interviewing them and narrating their tales of strength, courage and hope.
Cliff also wrote ‘Counting on a Miracle’, which tells Jake's story as a patient at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo. At the age of four, Jake had a large tumor in his lung that required surgery. The novel details Jake's surgery experience and his astonishing recovery.
Cliff has raised funds for Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo through sales of his books, and he continues to serve on the hospital's Family Advisory Council.
