|9/19/2014||Women & Children’s Hospital Pediatric ICU Ranks High Amongst National Peers|
According to a report from Virtual PICU Systems, LLC, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (WCHOB) cared for the 3rd sickest patients, yet recorded the 2nd lowest mortality rate from April 2013 through March of 2014 as compared to similar PICUs nationwide.

To help ensure the safety of our patients following the recent increase in the number of respiratory illness cases throughout Western New York, until further notice Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo is limiting patient visitation to two individuals older than 14 years of age visiting at one time.

Tonight, Hoopla! Frozen Yogurt will open in the TOPS Plaza next to Moe’s at Crossroads Center in Orchard Park. All are invited to attend a Grand Opening event from 5-10 p.m., with 100% of sales benefiting Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
|8/29/2014||Daisy Troop Donates Books, Stuffed Animals to Women & Children’s Hospital|
Daisy Troop 39500 donated over 700 books to the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Family Resource Center on August 19, as well as some stuffed animals for our patient Welcome Bag program. The girls used left over funds from cookie sales to purchase the items.

The daughters of Tim Graves, President of Superior Contracting, Inc. dressed up as minions Stuart and Dave from the movie Despicable Me and made their way through the hospital on August 29 bringing smiles, laughter and lots of entertainment to both patients and staff.
