7/19/2012Dr. Vanessa M. Barnabei Appointed UB Medical School Chair of OB/GYN and Medical Director, OB/GYN for Kaleida Health
 Vanessa M. Barnabei, MD, PhD, the Patrick and Margaret McMahon Endowed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, has been named Chair of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Medical Director, Women's Health Services for Kaleida Health.

7/2/2012Kaleida Health Nurse-Physician Team Receive $50,000 Research Grant
 Jessica Castner, Ph.D., R.N., and Heidi Suffoletto, M.D., recently received the Directed Team Award from the Emergency Medicine Foundation/Emergency Nurses’ Association Foundation. The awarded project, “Radio-Frequency Identification Time-and-Motion Study: The relationship of emergency department overcrowding, physical workspace, and patient-provider contact,” took place in Buffalo General Medical Center’s (BGMC) Emergency Department.

7/2/2012Kaleida Health Libraries Receive $60,000 Grant
 Kaleida Health Libraries have been awarded a one-year grant in the amount of $60,000 from the Grace and Harold Sewell Memorial Fund to support a Sewell Learning Partnership, a fellowship experience that will enable the libraries to recruit a clinical informationist (CI) to work embedded among the clinicians in the Gates Vascular Institute (GVI).
