6/21/2012Developers Propose Potential Uses for Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital Site
 Kaleida Health held a community forum Wednesday, June 20, 2012, on its “Hospital Reuse Design/Development Competition” for the old Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital. The event included a presentation and exhibits from the two competitors who submitted qualified proposals for the Gates Circle site, Chason Affinity and Uniland Development.

6/18/2012Great Lakes Health Receives $15 Million for Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Care
 Great Lakes Health today announced that New York’s Health Department approved a $15 million grant to help Erie County Medical Center and Kaleida Health consolidate mental health and drug dependency treatment in one, $25 million Regional Behavioral Health Center of Excellence at ECMC.

6/15/2012VNA Selected to Purchase Wyoming County Home Health Agency
 The Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York (VNA) was selected as the provider of choice to purchase the Wyoming Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA).  The Wyoming County Board of Supervisors approved the sale at their regularly scheduled meeting this week. 

6/15/2012Development Agreement in Place for Deaconess Center Site
 Kaleida Health will demolish the 268,000-square-foot facility, located at 1001 Humboldt Parkway in Buffalo, to make it shovel ready for the Community Action Organization (CAO).  Demolition of the Deaconess site is expected to begin this summer.

6/7/2012Plan for New Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Gains Final Approval
 Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital has received final approval to add a 10-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The New York State Department of Health’s Public Health and Health Planning Council today (June 7, 2012) voted to approve the measure.
