3/21/2014Capes for Kids!
 Thank you to the Diocese of Buffalo and its Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry who organized a service project during its 62nd annual Youth Conference in which many creatively designed capes for kids were made and then delivered for our patients to give them something fun to wear and maybe help inspire them with super hero strength and healing.

3/20/2014Project Sunshine Volunteers Visit Patients for Craft Party
 Volunteers from Project Sunshine recently visited patients through the Child Life program at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo to provide a fun and creative afternoon for patients by having a craft party and teaching them arts and crafts, including how to make paper flowers for the upcoming spring season.

 The Gates Vascular Institute recently announced that it is the first in Western New York to implant the smallest implantable cardiac monitoring device available, the Reveal LINQ Insertable Cardiac Monitor.

 Doctors from around the world are invited to play with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra as part of a five day experience culminating in a one-of-a-kind concert in the beautiful and historic Kleinhans Music Hall to benefit the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital on Saturday, July 19.

 A Super Hero Saturday children’s event to benefit the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital will take place Saturday, March 8 in the food court at the Boulevard Mall located at 730 Alberta Drive in Buffalo from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

 A free educational class will be held for parents and families with children with hearing loss on Thursday, April 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Early Childhood Direction Center of Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, at 3131 Sheridan Drive (People Inc. Building) in Amherst.

3/7/2014WCHOB Parking Ramp Stairwell to be Closed Temporarily
 From Tuesday, March 11 through Friday, March 14, the stairwell located next to the elevator in the John C. Gallagher, Sr. Parking Ramp across from Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo will be out of use due to the fact that a new stairwell is being built to replace the current stairwell.
