Staff Development

Currently, there are over 1,740 courses currently available to Kaleida Health employees. The training and education opportunities range from computer training to customer service and communication skills, to clinical education.

All employees have access to the Kaleida Health Talent Management system, on the Kaleida Health intranet to manage and track required training and elective courses. In the future, the system will include the ability to create individual career development plans, and to track the training and preparation required to complete that plan.

Leadership Development

Newly hired managers participate in a 90-day “On Boarding” program. The program is designed to assist managers in developing their skills and strategies to become effective leaders.

In addition to In-house training, Kaleida Health also partners with local universities to offer educational development programs.

Kaleida Scholars

Kaleida Health offers scholarship opportunities for those wishing to pursue higher education degrees in critically needed health care professions at an accredited institution. Kaleida Health employees, family members and even non-Kaleida affiliated individuals may apply.

Tuition Reimbursement

Eligible employees are able to receive tuition reimbursement through the Educational Assistance Program. As part of the employee benefits package, job-related and compatible courses that increase confidence in present jobs or prepare for advancement to more responsible positions qualify.
