Kaleida Health was originally named based on the word kaleidoscope which comes from the Greek words kalos, which means "beautiful" and eidos meaning "shape." Like all of the colorful prisms that come together in a kaleidoscope, Kaleida Health is the largest health care provider in Western New York because of the employees and physicians who work together to ensure we deliver excellent care and service.
