Some examples include basic research in the developing lung, lung injury, the pulmonary vasculature, and the surfactant system, clinical research in the areas of prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, prevention of nosocomial infection, effect of varying levels of oxygen on neonatal premature infant resuscitation, and clinical academic interests in transport, resuscitation and osteopenia of prematurity.
