About the Emergency Department

Located on North Street near Ellicott, the Buffalo General Medical Center Emergency Department offers care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Treating 64,000 patients annually are board-certified emergency medicine physicians who are trained to treat everything from simple cuts and broken bones to the most serious, life-threatening injuries.

Opened in November 2011, the state-of-the-art Emergency Department is the largest in Western New York and features a large, comfortable waiting room, all private patient rooms with flat screen TVs and the latest in emergency medicine technology.
