What is Peripheral Arterial Disease?

The Vascular Lab at Buffalo General Medical Center is accredited by the IAC in the areas of peripheral arterial testing, extracranial cerebrovascular testing and peripheral  venous testing.  
 
Non-Invasive Diagnostic Testing includes: 
  • Carotid Duplex Examination (Extracranial Cerebral Vascular Disease) 
  • Venous Duplex Examinations Upper and Lower Extremities (for deep vein thrombosis, venous insufficiency, vein mapping) 
  • Arterial Examinations Upper and Lower Extremities (Peripheral Vascular Disease, Arterial Bypass Graft Surveillance, Raynaud's Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Pseudoaneurysm)
  • Abdominal Duplex Examination (Aortic Aneurysm, EVAR surveillance)
 A prescription and appointment are needed.
