Within each pod, there is a dedicated team of clinicians whose area of expertise is that particular pod’s specialty.

 

About the Emergency Department

Emergency Department EntranceLocated on North Street near Ellicott, the Buffalo General Medical Center Emergency Department offers care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Treating 64,000 patients annually are board-certified emergency medicine physicians who are trained to treat everything from simple cuts and broken bones to the most serious, life-threatening injuries.

Opened in November 2011, the state-of-the-art Emergency Department is the largest in Western New York and features a large, comfortable waiting room, all private patient rooms with flat screen TVs and the latest in emergency medicine technology.
